Today was my lucky day as I managed to get my hands on two rare pieces of pork jowl. These are highly sought after in our area, and it’s often a challenge to find them available.
I decided to make the most of it by grilling them on my backyard barbecue grill.
I marinated the pork jowl in a mixture of cola, soy sauce, and sesame for half an hour before placing them on the grill rack. Once grilled to perfection, the meat turned out incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with rich flavors reminiscent of wagyu beef.
To complete the meal, I took advantage of the residual heat from the grill and made a delightful soup using tomatoes and enoki mushrooms. The flavors were absolutely divine!
In this video, I’ll take you through the entire cooking process, sharing some tips and tricks along the way.
